יחל

יָחַל(b. h.; v. חוּל) to hover around, rest on. Pi. יִחֵל, יִי׳ 1) (with על) to cause to rest upon. Pesik. R. s. 47 מְיַיחֵל אני … כשם שיִיחַלְתִּיוכ׳ I shall cause my Name to rest upon him (Job) as I did upon 2) (b. h.; with אל) to wait for the turn, to wait, trust; to inspire trust; v. יִחוּל. Hof. הוּחָל to be made to rest. Sifré Deut. 31, v. יוֹתֵר.
